It wasn’t all that for me. It got incredible reviews but for me it was just barely enough to hold my attention. Honestly if it hadn’t gotten the reviews it did I probably would have put it down- I kept going hoping to see what everyone else was seeing but never did

Yes, it’s a quite slow read, nothing exciting happens but the history that comes with it was worth it….not my usual type of book at all but this book stayed with me for some reason & death as the narrator made it different x
The narrator was an especially unique perspective! I really appreciated that in the book. The majority of what I read is WWII era historical fiction so I fully expected to love it, but for some reason I didn’t. Oh well, to each his own ?
