In order to feed my mind with info that will eventually help me to enhance my thoughts, to form opinions, in general, guide my actions-books r like fuel to get my motor running. That’s why i’m more into non-fictions.

honestly? i first started it because i was curious as to why my friends liked to read novel series like harry potter etc. when i finished a series or two… reading books and novels became a way of escaping the emotional turmoil of real life. and now reading comes naturally to me.. not only helping me through depression but also showing me a beautiful world where everyone is accepted as they are.

Many reasons. To learn, to keep my mind active, to be more social and well versed, to escape the reality of life for a brief time, to encourage others, to be a better person.

1)because reading helps me learn and understand more about myself, other people—sometimes animals too—and the world
2)because reading is like traveling and I can’t do it physically so I do it through books instead
3)because… “They’re very good at making you forget your troubles. It’s like having a million friends, wrapped in paper and scrawled in ink.” – Melissa Grey, The Girl at Midnight 🙂
^ these are my main reasons

Because I’m alive? My brother taught me to read before I ever went to school. I’ve done it ever since. It is a true constant of my 60 years. Can’t imagine life without books, and all their knowledge, entertainment, and inspiration.

Cause the kids take over the TV….. kidding. Reading is my escape (from the kids haha) and just for my plain and simple enjoyment. I don’t think there is anything more peaceful than sitting down reading a good book.

Because i cann’t not to read. This is the main reason. Other are because it’s interesting and open us a large window to many worlds. Inside worlds like characters, point of view, motivies and so on…and outside worlds like countries, nations and so on.

Reading has been my escape from reality. My way of not dealing with whatever is happening around me and burying myself in another world and someone else’s problems instead. Also because I enjoy it, it’s fun and relaxing for me.

Dear Marissa in my believe we get information when we read magazines and newspapers. But when we read books we get knowledge. And remember ‘Every information is not necessarily knowledge, but Every knowledge is necessarily Information.’ Thank You !

@Firdyawkal Thank you very much for the correction. Lesson learnt. 🙂
