If you are fans of history or SciFi & you can venture out of Philly, this place is worth it. They have a little of everything, especially at their dollar book sales, but history & scifi are their bread & butter.

The Book Corner is my favourite book store in the world! I spent so much time there when I was a student in Philly, since it’s massive, cheap, has every genre possible, and is associated with the library of Philadelphia so sometimes you get good-as-new books for really cheap cause the library had too many. Plus it’s brilliantly located!

@Inkwood is by the PATCO station in Haddonfield, NJ, which has a cute Main Street area to walk around. You can take the train right over from Philly.

Oooooh I live in Philly! Shakespeare and Co. is new. I haven’t been inside but looks awesome! The Book Barn (I think that’s the name?) in West Chester is also apparently really cool. My personal favorite is the Barnes and Noble at Rittenhouse Square. It’s fun to get a book and if it’s a nice day I try to snag a bench in the park and read outside. Let me know if you want more “tourist” tips like restaurants to try or things to do- I’m much better with that kind of thing!

@Anne YES. ALL THE TIPS. But especially food because we love food very much. Especially ramen and Mexican.

@Hilary My favorite restaurant in the city is Han Dynasty (Chinese). If you go, the Dan Dan noodles and Dry Fry Beef are my favorites! La Calaca Feliz (near the Art Museum) and El Rey are two great Mexican places. If you all are looking for a cheesesteak, skip the “famous” Pat’s and Geno’s, which are overrated and not very good. Go to either Jim’s Steaks on South St. (cash only but so good!) or John’s Roast Pork. Reading Terminal Market is also worth a visit!

The Philadelphia Public Library (Vine St. Location) is cool and they do tours. It’s near the Art Museum so if you’re near there anyway it’s worth a trip. The walk from the Art Museum to the library on the Ben Franklin Parkway is beautiful.
