I go through a phase of just reading magazines or articles online but never stop reading all together. I have also gone through spells where I only wanted short books and not 500 page books!
All the time. I only read about a dozen books until the last month of the year, when suddenly I crank out a dozen more. I’m busy and have other hobbies and I’m sick and sometimes can’t do anything at all. I frequently go months at a time without reading and rarely do it daily anymore. But, I still come out averaging about a book every two weeks because I read so much in the winter.
Yep. In 2016 I went from the beginning of June to the middle of December without finishing a single book. And I still have been reading less than I would like to, but am finally slowly beginning to pick up speed again.
It’s actually good to go through the “not reading phase”, just means you have other important things to do in your life – best thing about books, they’re always there when you need them.
Yeah, I hardly read anything in High School, I was in school from 8AM to 10PM (Technical Degree) and during my first few years at Uni which I was doing while working full time. I went back to reading in my mid 20s so like 5-6 years ago or so…I’ve never read as much as this year though 🙂
Yes. 2 years, because I will not read another book until I finish one (it’s a horrible habit) and it took me 2 years and change to get through The Museum of Extraordinary Things.
I have been struggling for awhile now used to read 3-6 books a week. My epilepsy started acting up for the past 2 years now I’m lucky if I read 1 or 2 a month ?
Oh, yes. This year actually. When I had to give my IGCSE’s. Although I tried my best to read, I couldn’t. As of now I’m studying for A levels, which makes it difficult too, but I think I’m doing a great job at reading ?
Yes, when I get in a slump where nothing looks good. I have at least 3 shelves of books I havent read yet. Sometimes, none of them are what I want at the moment. Thats usually when I do a reread or pick one up from one of the many series Im in the middle of from one of my favorite authors
Yes. I’ve just gone through a massive one, but I’m starting to read again. Averaging about 100 pages a day now, unlike before where i could barely get through the first 100 pages of any book without putting it down.
Yes. Graphic novels tend to pull me out of my funk. There are some great non super hero hilarious books. The gratification of reading a few usually rights my course.
Yes…most of this year!!! From January til like August I read maybe 10 books….but have read like 25 the last couple months!! Hoping to continue this throughout 2018!
Yes, right freaking now. I can’t finish a book because nothing is holding my interest, and I’m in the middle of finals and NaNo and so there’s no motivation or time.
I am in that faze right now. Its been a few weeks. I just haven’t been in the mood but I have been binge watching Arrow on Netflix so that is taking me away from reading. I did read for like an hour on Monday but that’s about it form the past few weeks.
My entire 2017 so far. It’s the worst, most of the books I’ve finished were ones I’d read before, I’m currently in the middle of about 5 because i can’t keep interest (not even the books fault!). I’ve finished a grand total of 9 books this year. Last one was in June. ?
Yeah, I went 1 miserable year without books. That was right after my marriage. Then I got pregnant, and no one said no when I expressed my desire to read. 🙂 <3
Yes! Right after that last HP book, I stopped reading for a couple of years (only read college material), and started reading frequently about 4 years ago. I still have a looooong TBR pile, but I am going through it ?
Is the worse!!! I have one right now since August and it started right in the middle of a sequel of a trilogy. Just got my mojo back with this particular book about a world record family I found yesterday
yes, i have definitely experienced that but usually short lived. smiles.
Yup. I had a few rough months after undergrad. But I settled down finally and got back to it. You’ll get there. No worries. ❤️
Yeah, I’m actually going through it again currently.
Yes, when we were going through a challenging period in my family. I just could not concentrate on anything. My favorite devotional got me through.
I’m going through it right now. Nothing to read nor buying new books
yep
I went through a huge one. I think it happens with every activity.
I go through a phase of just reading magazines or articles online but never stop reading all together. I have also gone through spells where I only wanted short books and not 500 page books!
Having a newborn makes reading really tough. Plus I was still in college. So for his first 6 months I barely read.
I am in a reading block atm, but I am coming out of it ?
Yeah…. I call it sleeping 😉
Yes. Its been a few years for me. I’m slowly getting over it though. I’m reading again, just not at my normal pace yet.
I go through them now and then. My longest was years. I’m making up for lost time now though, ?

Only when I’m too exhausted
Yes, sometimes it lasts a month or two.
It’s actually good to go through the “not reading phase”, just means you have other important things to do in your life – best thing about books, they’re always there when you need them.
phase?
Yes! If I force it o hate it.
Yeah about 15 years
Yes, sometimes it’s just a mood I am in, but usually its during my kids/family busy season.
Yea it is called college school work time. ?
In the fall when all my shows come back at the same time
I haven’t read in a year:(
Nope! I’ve even reread books because I didn’t have new ones!

Only when I had surgery on my neck and couldn’t bend my neck to read. That’s when Nook and Kindle apps came in handy.
Yes, when I’m knitting Christmas gifts.
Same!
Yes. 2 years, because I will not read another book until I finish one (it’s a horrible habit) and it took me 2 years and change to get through The Museum of Extraordinary Things.
I also was pregnant and had my son in the same span of time and think that had something to do with it.
The last few years has been a struggle bus
I am now.:(
All the time, but eventually I always end up with a book in my hands
I have been struggling for awhile now used to read 3-6 books a week. My epilepsy started acting up for the past 2 years now I’m lucky if I read 1 or 2 a month ?
For about 8 years, yes.
Yes I am right now.
Not going to make my reading challenge this year because I have a good four months where I didn’t want to read anything.
SAME those are the worst
Oh, yes. This year actually. When I had to give my IGCSE’s. Although I tried my best to read, I couldn’t. As of now I’m studying for A levels, which makes it difficult too, but I think I’m doing a great job at reading ?
I have, I hate it. I’m in a bit of a slump right now, but I haven’t stopped completely right now. I hope I get over it soon
Yes, after I became a mom. I basically would fall asleep after two pages. Lol
I’m finally getting back into reading (kids are 3 and 6 now).

Yuppers.
Yup. I will sometimes go and year or two then binge read.
I think it’s completely normal. I cycle through ALL my hobbies. ^_^
Yes. I’ve just gone through a massive one, but I’m starting to read again. Averaging about 100 pages a day now, unlike before where i could barely get through the first 100 pages of any book without putting it down.
Yes, I have.

Yes ? I have a young baby who doesn’t nap much at all
Yes, right freaking now. I can’t finish a book because nothing is holding my interest, and I’m in the middle of finals and NaNo and so there’s no motivation or time.
Yeeees
Yes right now. But I got my box today and I am VERY interested in the book.
I am in that faze right now. Its been a few weeks. I just haven’t been in the mood but I have been binge watching Arrow on Netflix so that is taking me away from reading. I did read for like an hour on Monday but that’s about it form the past few weeks.
Yes this was me TIL yesterday I now finally started reading again
Ugh yes. Worst thing ever when something you love so much just isn’t working for you at the moment.
My entire 2017 so far. It’s the worst, most of the books I’ve finished were ones I’d read before, I’m currently in the middle of about 5 because i can’t keep interest (not even the books fault!). I’ve finished a grand total of 9 books this year. Last one was in June. ?
Yes right after my kids were born.

Sometimes when I sleep
Yes and i absolutely hated it. I didnt read for years and i missed reading
yeah, i go thru book slumps. sometimes i just hold a book to make myself feel better.
Yup. Just left one of those phases even
Yes! Right after that last HP book, I stopped reading for a couple of years (only read college material), and started reading frequently about 4 years ago. I still have a looooong TBR pile, but I am going through it ?
