Don

Tender is the Night is my favorite Fitzgerald (I’m not a Gatsby fan).

@Don, I never read tender is the night but I’m not a Gatsby fan either

@Stacey I think Fitzgerald is really best as a short story writer. “Babylon Revisited” is as good as the American short story gets.

@Don agree. The curious case of Benjamin Button brilliant

It’s not a classic but probably Ready Player one. I love classic games too so I was pretty sure I was going to enjoy that one ??

Same. I fell in love with the title, so then I had to suffer through reading it. First and last time I read Fitzgerald.

@Catherine I like the book too. But I struggle with the beautiful and damned, surprisingly.

Actually I love all of Fitzgerald’s titles. He had some good ones! I wonder if he named his books and short stories or if Zelda did?

Lynne Marcus

Why would you think Zelda would have been the one, who chose the titles?

QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER?

Wasn’t she schizophrenic ? Also, institutionalized at intervals?

And…jealous of her husband’s fame and career???
