It used to be The Woman’s Murder Club series by James Patterson but he seems to have lost his way with this lately. Current favourite series has to be the DCI Ryan books by LJ Ross. I like a bit of Simon Kernick too.
Rebus every time – but we have quite long waits between books. To fill in these gaps I read Robin Roughley’s Lasser series. He’s fairly new compared to Ian Rankin but is proving to be excellent.
The Reaper series by @Steven won my Award a year or two ago followed by the Aector McAvoy series by David Mark more recently.
Long-term: Tony Hill series by Val McDermid. I am not ‘faithful,’ I am a ‘serial’ monogamist of book series…. But I stick with them long after my ‘affair’ is over – generally until about the time the author gets fed up with their character e.g. Roy Grace & Alan Banks.
