It is a long time since I have read a James Patterson book. I enjoyed his early Alex Cross series. My favourite in this series is Along Came a Spider

Love all his books ?

The early ones are much better in my opinion. He only writes the outlines for the books now and claims co authorship after he’s satisfied with the re-drafts.
I Don’t bother reading them any more….too many other books.

I use to love waiting for the next book, but for a long while there’s a least one a month released. Stopped reading early 2000’s.
Just looked on his website he has “written” 238 books from 1976 – date…

My cousin buys each book when it comes out (HB) he gives them to my Mum to read and offers me the chance to read them. I always decline as I have found some brilliant new authors who are now favourites.

With the exception of the book shots, I think I’ve read them all. Love the Women’ s Murder Club series but my singular favorite was The Postcard Killers.

Can’t wait to get started on the Alex cross series, I’ve got the first 6 lined up. I want to finish off the Kim Stone and Erica Foster series first though as these are on my kindle.

Got a bit bored with the Cross ones eventually. I like the stand alone ones for a holiday, really easy reading.

Liked the early Alex Cross and Women’s Murder Club books, but stopped reading him when he started selling out his name to lesser writers, to put on their books so they’d become bestsellers and make him richer. To me that’s vile, and I haven’t read a word with his name attached to it since.

I read a lot of his earlier books but like Don I don’t like the way be publishes now. Alex Cross and the Women’s Murder Club were my favourites too.

I enjoyed Cat and Mouse as it was the first one i read and then I was addicted to Alex Cross. No more though now after they were churned out

Yeah, look at all the hate his books generate now on Amazon, in reader reviews. Everything with his name on it, these days, is sub-par it seems … because he’s not actually writing them, maybe? 🙂

How can one man churn out so many books. The early ones were much better, Little Boy Blue, Along came a Spider etc. Also the fantasy series that included The Beach House.
