Well like most books it was better than the movie. It was a slow start but I’ve found most of his books are like that.

well, I hope you haven’t read any other Dan Brown book, cuz they pretty much follow the same pattern. But if it’s your first one, then go for it. Personally I love his work

I think you’ve heard this before but I’ll say it just for the sake of saying that the movie was dumb. Couldn’t bear it till the end either. The book was so good I couldn’t put it down

1

Haha, are u convincing me to read it,okay I will try to,

1

Good girl ???

0

0

You may tell me some of your favorite book. I’m all ears. ?

1
Rony

Okay I have many favourite, my favourite so far is a book titled the client, well I have forgotten the author its a bit long since I read it ,but dat book has my heart, till today because of the major character mark sway, that boy is the bravest 9 year old I have ever seen,I couldn’t help but shed tears for him, even if he is not real, well haha,I really love dat book,

1
Rao

That’s awesome. I’ll try it ??

1
Thuto

Yep…I really liked it.
I did however feel the writing was a bit…bland. But despite this I really enjoyed it.

It’s great but it’s the weakest of the entire Robert Langdon series by Dan Brown. All the others in the series blow Da Vinci Code out of the water. ??

Dan Brown is amazing and it’s a wonderful book. Did you manage to get ahold of the one with the matching photos? It really enhanced the book for me.

3

Unfortunately no

0

It’s still amazing without that version, that’s how I read it first. But if you can get your hands on the copy with photos, definitely do that.

@Brandy I love them both… but books win every time. I don’t even know why I try to see the movies of books I love though… it is usually heart breaking/ infuriating. 😛

0

Hahaha! I try to watch tv, and I’ve seen some things. But I haven’t see the movie for this book yet that’s why I’m so excited to read it lol!

Its good, but I read it years ago when it came out and I had just graduated with a degree in, amongst others, religion. I was like no more! Lol Seriously though, it was a lot of subject matter I was familiar with woven into a pretty decent story.

People aren’t going to like what I have to say but just keep in mind that it is a work of fiction that there are historical inaccuracies in it a lot

0

One I read called The Hailing Sign was brilliant! Don’t remember who it was by tho 🙁

1
Rao

I just Google it. It says that the rating of the book is 1/5 that’s really bad. ? Are you sure about the title?

0
Queequeg

It is very bloody. Maybe that’s why?

1
Rao

Do you have…hmm…pdf link or epub sometimes of that book?

0
Queequeg

No I’m sorry. I read it years ago. My copy is long gone. I’m glad its still around tho!

1
Rao

Well…however thanks for the recommendations

0
Agnieszka

The way Opus Dei was portrayed in this book is super inaccurate, just sayin’

2
Queequeg

I just pretended it was a “splinter group” 😀

0
Rao

Because it was a fiction book. Why do people always say that about this book. ?????

0
Queequeg

Some people like things to be precise I think.

1
Rao

I hate it when people say that Dan Brown books are inaccurate. They are inaccurate because they are fiction. I don’t see anyone complaining that Harry potter is all crap and there is no such thing as magic or Phoenix.

There is a reason fiction is not non fiction.

0
Queequeg

Wait… THERE IS NO ORDER OF THE PHOENIX!???

1
Rao

Well…no sorry to bust you bubble but there is no such thing as order of the Phoenix. But yeah there is platform 9 3/4…I suggest you not to run into it ?

It’s an easy read which closes every thread in the end… If u like thinking about “what ifs” and theories once the book is over, Dan Brown is not the writer for you since he guides you through every step and makes everything too clear (u dnt have to think too much). Anyway it’s a good swimming pool read

I read it a long time ago, but I couldn’t put it down. I had borrowed it from a relative and when I returned it three days later they couldn’t believe I had already read it all. Dan Brown is one of my favorite authors, Inferno is my favorite of his Robert Langdon novels but the Da Vinci Code is a very close second. Also The Lost Symbol is really good too

What did you think about Inferno the movie ? I was so disappointed … I reamly liked the Da Vinci Code movie, I thought they worked well on it but Inferno really let me down.

0

Yes I agree Bertrand was SO much better in my head, but the movie did feel incomplete and rushed, a lot wasn’t explained nearly as well as I think it should have been. I really The DaVinci Code movie though

It helps if you don’t know too much about early Christian history and have NOT read Holy Blood, Holy Grail. It’s a roller coaster ride and I really enjoyed (despite not fitting into the categories above), but it doesn’t stand up to thinking about afterward or, I found, a second read.

1

Keep in mind that it’s strictly fictional – don’t start taking the conspiracy theories to heart. Otherwise, it’s a very fast paced mystery thriller that I stayed up way too late reading because I couldn’t put it down.

Definitely a fun and interesting (and quick) read – made me want to know more about some of the things raised – what the actual truth is behind some of the things he raises in the book. But I also thought it was very much based on the ideas of the nonfiction book “The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail” which was truly fascinating.
