Yes, I’m watching it. Halfway through the second series. I think they’ve lost the forward impetus of the first series, trying to find out who was the bad guy behind the explosion. And Kiefer Sutherland’s whispering seriously irritated me! But there’s just about enough pace to keep me going …

I thought it was just my hearing re Keifer Sutherland’s voice. Not finished first series yet, but it is fascinating. Is that true about the Designated Survivor in US ?

I don’t know … but there was a meme going about recently that Trump had identified Sarah Palin as the Designated Survivor. Whether that was true or just a reference to the series, I don’t know.

I had never heard of it before but I suppose that is a similar thing with our Royal family

Loved it! Haven’t started the second series yet, as I’m watching Homeland and don’t want to mix them all up!

Homeland is way better, imho. Not quite so melodramatic or cheesy as Designated S.

I’m loving Homeland!

Yes, and enjoying it. Second series needs a twist though, not enough to keep you guessing.

I’ve watched first series and loved it. West wing was and is my favourite ever, so I knew I’d like this, especially with Kiefer. Xx

You might also like Madam Secretary, if you’ve not seen it. I’m a third of the way through series one (of 4, I think) and it’s more realistic than Des. Surv. and probably a bit more intelligent!

Anita

And yes it is true. They said it on west wing lol. Xx

I like it apart from the awful (apparently) British agent. Still, I do keep hoping Jack Bauer will appear..

I slapped myself in the face when he said ‘route’ in American.

And definitely yes to Jack Bauer appearing!

No . Is it good?

Really good. Though a pretty uncomfortable watch at times. (For me anyway). I wasn’t sure after the 1st episode but the rest of the series really gripped me. I binge watched the last 4 or 5 & then was sad that I hadn’t stretched it out more ?

I loved DS. Kiefer Sutherland hasn’t changed. I have a new addiction. It’s called Dark – omg it’s indescribable. I have no words for the brilliantness of it………

I heard that mentioned on the radio yesterday & added it to my ever growing list of things to watch. Not quite as long as my TBR list yet but getting there!

Put it to the top of your list!! It’s german and has been adapted into English. The writing is astonishing. It’s confusing in an addictive way x
