Has anyone read uprooted? It seemed so interesting but I am having trouble getting into it. Trying to decide if I should keep at it or move on.

I picked it up when it first came out. I was hard for me to get into. However, I recently got the audiobook from the library and ended up loving it. It is a bit slow because there is so much information, but the plot is really good and I loved the characters.

Hello. I hope it isn’t too late. I’ve read the book and though it is slow going at first, it gets pretty damn great when you finally get a grasp on it. It hooked me in with the unusual presentation of magic and the uniqueness of the dark magic enfolding the forest.

Spoiler alert:
The dark magic actually gets inside your body like a virus when you inhale the air from the forest and you have to be painfully purged of it countless times.

That’s the real reason the book made an impact to me. The new take gives a new perspective on magic. I loved it so much i think it’s right there on the top of my favorite books list.

Please give it a chance. Thank you.

I liked it. It’s so slow at first and then suddenly, one thing starts happening after another. I haven’t finished it yet so I don’t know if I like it overall but it is very well written and great concept. I would give it another go.
