I gave the first one to my husband a few years ago and he quit after the first chapter or two because it was too dark and he’s usually not squeamish about that….

I threw my copy into the garbage. A friend gave me a bag of books. I only read the first page.

Ploughed through Child 44, could not find the heart to bother with the sequels.

I have, I’ve read all three, they’re great books but child 44 is the best of the lot, it’s brilliant the it comes together in the end, no spoilers, just take your time and enjoy…..

Yes… Child 44 was the best of it. It takes time to get to the point, but then it all makes sense. It’s dark though

I liked Child 44. Did not know it was part of a trilogy. Will have to check them out.
Hope they’re in the library.

I did… And they were mostly good except for some minor hiccups here and there… The first book was the best in my opinion
