I’ve started it twice and both times given up. But have seen a lot of people say good things about it.

Same here … couldn’t understand the hype around this book

The book wasn’t easy to get into, I tried a few times, I passed it along.

I read it probably 15 years ago, but I (vaguely) remember liking it a lot.

I adored it. Read it a really long time ago. One thing I would say is don’t take any notice of the dates which open each chapter, it will mess with your head. Just read, enjoy, then read again (with chapter headings this time)

I thought it was disappointing. It’s in my reread pile because I always like to give a good reason for not liking a book.. but I just can’t get my finger on it.

I truly didn’t care for it, I felt she gave up way to much for a bounce around guy ?

but isnt that what love is all about?

0
Kathy

No, I don’t think love is being left behind ,giving up your sense of self waiting for him to have time for you, thought it was creepy he showed up when she was a child. Didn’t care for it on many levels.

I have read it 3 or 4 times and sob my way through the last couple of chapters. One of my all time favourite reads. Refuse to watch the film because I think it will ruin it for me
