They ARE big books but you get so into the story, you don’t even realise ? Most people take a break in between but I physically couldn’t put them down so I marathoned them all in just over 6 weeks and feck all was done in my house that Summer ????

Do you mean the entire series? I think in this case, you’re okay. Just Outlander alone is fantastic on its own. My favorites in the series are the first four and I’ve read them over and over. I am still 2 books from the end and I know there is at least one more coming. Honestly it’s best to know at the end of the books that Jamie (and Claire) are alive and well. 😉 Jamie Fraser is an EPIC character.

Excellent! If you like a well crafted story, you’ll love them. You’ll also find that this series has an almost cult-like following much like Harry Potter.

It’s SO good! It’s seriously one of my favorite. The way Claire and Jamie are written beautifully. And she really does her research to get the history right. I love it and can’t wait for the next one to come out
I’ve listened to the audiobooks and they are fantastic. The narrator does a great job giving the characters life and with the accents. I recommend listening to them.
Alexa May Losaria I watched the show first and it was so good that I needed to read the book. Now there is a third season about the third book (my favorite) and it’s amazing. Jamie and Claire are wondeful characters., so welll written besides It seem that the author Diana Gabaldon really did a research about historical facts. You definitely will fall in love with Jamie Fraser because he is amazing and he’s relationship with claire it’s so lovely ❤️❤️❤️❤️
These are my favorite. You will more than likely become addicted. They are very long…and are very graphic at points(sex) but amazingly written and I recommend!
Started reading the series a year and a half ago. While simultaneously watching it on Starz. I love it! The books flow very well. Lots of romance, history, revenge, undying love, time travel… I highly recommend the books. They are a page turner. I would agree with Rhonda Williams-Wahlstrom that Dragonfly in Amber is a bit slow but it is worth finishing.

Roger is my book boyfriend. I’ve loved him since the beginning of Dragonfly in Amber. His story arc is sooo dramatic. I’ve read ALL the books & novellas & Lord John books. The novella about Rogers father is such an emotional read

Great series, book one starts a bit slow stick with it! Have read all 8 twice! Read first then watch mini series. I think if had not read would be so confused watching series. Too many gaps if you didn’t know the story…
I read it up to the 4th book and stopped it because the characters just drove me crazy!! They just became annoying and stupid. I might go back and finish it but every time I think about the 4th book I get really sad ?

I’m currently stuck on the second…. I’ve been trying to finish it for a year. Parts are good . I think they are unnecessarily long and we don’t really need that MANY sex scenes. Not sure if I’ll continue with the series. I may just watch the show.
Addictive. Prepare yourself to read the whole 10,000 pages. Even after you hate all the characters and don’t care what happens to them any more, you will still read the next book. And then wait 10 years for the next one
I loved them. I didn’t “fly” through it like I thought I would, but it’s very good. If you love historical fiction and some steamy moments, it’s great. 🙂

It has much more content, and detail, that I have noticed, is missing from the series.
That’s probably because they don’t have enough time to put everything in the show. That’s why I like having both the show & the books. ?
