ok, here goes – trying not to give spoilers away. what the heck is up with this girl taking her baby everywhere?!? All these dangerous situations, slogging through the mud and staying in a falling apart house? it was just kind of annoying. and the girls were such a bad influence on her. i guess because i’m a mom, it changes my judgement.
Agree. While I overall enjoyed it, there were some things hat I found myself responding like “ok but really though? Was that a smart choice?” I liked it ok. It it fell flat for me.
Her first book was pretty good, not earth shattering. But all the rest are basically the same plot with the same not really likable MC. They are, dare u say it, written to formula. Worse there seems to be a ton of books written to this same formula lately.

I liked Woman In Cabin 10 ok.. wasn’t as good as I expected but it kept me entertained so I read The Lying Game.. parts of it were really good and parts dragged and dragged.. but then it got stupid and the ending I thought was ridiculous and so unbelievable. I went ahead and read In A Dark Dark Wood bc everyone kept saying it was her best and that one irritated me too. I will not read her stuff anymore. Just not the author for me.
I read it last summer, was not impressed. I also read the Death of Mrs. Westaway, not impressed either because I loved The woman in Cabin 10 and In A Dark Dark Wood

The death of Mrs westaway has been my first dnf of the year…I was going to try this one next ! I probably won’t now so thank you for your honesty!

I finished Westaway. It was okay. I was glad I got it from the library, rather than buying it.
I’ve read “Dark, dark woods” and thought it was ok. But “Westaway” was too much of nonsense/ boredom, so I DNF it and have no regrets ??

I dint find in a dark dark…. very interesting either…. i was like blah!!! I m not gonna bother with anymore of her books….

My least favorite of her books. I found the main character extremely annoying and the story seemed to drag on and on.
