I loved it – very thought provoking – and a little disturbing but a wonderful story.

Yes. Very good book, based on factual events. Really made me think a lot about the evil that lives inside some people, and the compassion found in others.

I found it compelling, with vividly drawn characters. Even the evil ones were relatable, horrified as the reader may be.

A good read, although a tough one. Learned more about the Nazis atrocities than I had known before.

It’s compelling and disturbing. Even more so when you know that two of the three main characters were real people.

Really good, but really disturbing that people can do such horrible things to others. As far as the book goes, well written and good character development. Have a box of tissues close by.

My hair stylist was just talking about it last weekend. Her mother gave it to her after her book club finished it. She loved it!

I liked it but did not love it, and although I enjoy WW2 books a lot, this one left me feeling depressed. I read The Nightingale afterward and enjoyed that one much more.

I really liked this book. I am fortunate to live a short ride to the town where The Ferriday summer home is. We took a tour of the house and garden described in the book.

I kind of loved the vengefulness in the end. Definitely a guilty pleasure. but was horrified by the brutality. A must read, so we don’t forget.

It’s very good but hard to read it’s hard to believe what these women went through.
