I want to watch that so bad but I don’t have anyone to watch it with me and I’m sure as hell not going to watch it by myself!
I had to watch it all by myself. It wasn’t so much horror, as psychological. It was very much worth it though.
I just watched it. And had to sleep with my blinds open to let in the street lights ?? I couldn’t do the pitch black.
So far I didn’t find the show really scary. A few moments to scare you, but otherwise mostly a drama serie. I plan on reading the book though.
It really was kind of inaccurately marketed. It has some jump scares and a few disturbing things but it’s really more metaphorical. Stick it out if you can. The final episode makes it worth it.

The book is fantastic and unnerving. However, the show is NOTHING like the book save for names and the fact that it’s about a haunted house.
I should clarify that I loved the show, too. I just had to recognize that it was not based on the book and had to stand on its own.
