I read the first 3 and loved them more than the show, the are pretty large and daunting though. I plan to read the others, they are worth giving a shot!
I’m on book 1. Song of Ice and Fire. Just started but im pretty far in. Its very good. The show follows it word for word so far. But i hear it changes from that later, the show and books will differ.
But be ready for it to be very different from the TV show (lots of things was changed along the show); well, books always better: it’s all harmoniously aligned and nicely delivered, so enjoy ur new addition ?
So far I’ve only read the first one and it did take me longer than usual. But it was a really good book and I do plan to continue them when I get out of my reading slump. I recommend them for sure.

Yes. I’ve read them all. The last two go a different direction and have different families than the first three. I loved the first three.
