I had to read it for school and having Asperger’s myself, it was really confronting. I came to 2/3 or smth, then I decided to DNF it until I was ready to finish it.

Not having experience with Aspergers myself, I wasn’t sure if he portrayed the character right but it didn’t feel like he did

He does. I dont have it as extreme as Christopher and there is a difference between boys and girls but still. I cried alot and not in the right way

I read the book after I saw the play (rookie mistake, didn’t know about the book at the time) but they were both absolutely wonderful in my opinion! Very new I’d say, it had the typical main character journey, but was still made unique with some odd twists

Yeah, we had to read it at school. It’s pretty basic English and I thought it was boring (not just because I had to read it for school). It’s probably a great book for kids/teens around 10-14/15
(I thought I was too old at 16, so idk)
