A long time ago. I remember being unimpressed, but I was only 15. Maybe at an older perspective it could be better?

I read it in high school (I was a senior so I was 17-18) and I remember really disliking it. I know it’s a classic and many people adore it, but, I could hardly get through it. Let’s just say I used a lot of foot notes.

Yes, it’s excellent. Since I’m bipolar, I had more of a connection with it and it really hit home with me. Very deep and poignant- one of the few books that made me cry

Yes, I can’t remember it very well. The storyline didn’t flow well for me so I just remember disjointed parts. It seemed very mundane and I didn’t get what all the hype was about. I feel like I need to reread it because it doesn’t even feel like I read it. I will say thou omg her journals are so brilliant. There’s such a spark in her thinking and descriptions and lust for life. A newer version of her journals came out recently that haven’t been edited by her husband.

I read it as a teenager, and I remember being quite depressed after reading it – I didn’t like it for that reason
