in my opinion, the movies were better. I kind of got put off by the books 🙁 The author was driving his religious agendas a little too hard. If you love that sort of thing, go for the books. The books kinda spoiled the feels that the movie gave me *sighs
I have read the books enjoyed them. Saw the movies not to much of a difference the music was great in the movies. The books explained more of what was happening.
I have the entire book series and I love them!!!! I also enjoyed the movies. There are some differences but the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was mostly accurate I’d say!
It’s been a while since I read them, but I was SUPER into them when the movies were coming out. The first one is very accurate, Prince Caspian added a ton of unnecessary crap, and Voyage is actually slightly better than the book imo, just because the book was more random isolated adventures while the movie sort of connected things. In any case, there are four more books that aren’t movies (unless BBC made them? I can’t remember… I think they made a few…) so you at least haven’t experiences those stories yet.
Yes different from movies. In fact lion/witch/wardrobe is not the first book. if you’ve seen movies first, might be hard to get into at first because you keep waiting for the characters that you recognize to appear. But so worth it if you stick to it. Really good stories.
It’s very different from the movies there’s a lot more of the story than most would think they’re worth reading
Cool, thanks for the comment!
There are definately worth the read excellent books

Well I mean it is a Christian book ? Thanks for leaving a comment ~
Not just Christian books, but written by a one of the great Christian apologists of his day. So there’s that.
So much symbolism.
He actually catches flack from some corners for not being more overtly evangelistic.
In any event I loved the books, the movies were good but lacked some of the nuance in the books.
Like I said…if it is a theme you like, go for them 🙂 (Y)
The books were great, there’s a lot in them that’s missed in the movies. Definitely worth a try
I read them as an adult and really enjoyed them
They’ve never made all of the books into movies, so that’s quite different. They are good.
Love the books. Currently reading them to my kids
first one is pretty good but I feel like they make a steady decline in quality the further along in the series you get.
You really have to commit. I’m not sure I’d say that they exactly decline, but they do get significantly weirder.
The books are fabulous! They did a good job on the movie but the books will always be better in my heart.
Wonderful books.
Loved the books and he ended the series in a way that made sense. The first few were better but worth reading them all
I have read the books enjoyed them. Saw the movies not to much of a difference the music was great in the movies. The books explained more of what was happening.
Well in my opinion its better to watch it cause i dont need to guess when and where the story came from, but still i love reading books
I’ve read the series twice. Loved them.
They’re VERY different from the movies. They’re timeless classics basically.

Very different, much better in my opinion.

Read them to my son throughout elementary school…he still remembers them to this day and he’s 20!
I am reading them now. I love them.
Yes
Better.
Better. For all ages.
Loved the entire series, trying to get my 8 year old to read them. Different from movie

It’s better!!! ??? I love that series!!
I read this series every summer (and have since I was in grade school). They are fantastic!
I have the book. But have not read if yet.
They are way better. You should definitely read them!
The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is pretty similar, but the rest are very different. And the books are so so good.
The movie was very hollywoodfied. The books are a touch darker.
It’s *Narnia-business* ?
I’ll leave now, bye.
It’s so much better!!!!
I loved them all but I read them when I was 12 and haven’t read them since ? but I did enjoy them all
Great series to read
The books are incredible
