I enjoyed this book and followed it by reading Mrs. Grant and Madame Jule.

Unfortunately, that is one book that no one in my book club could get through. Very disappointing!

Looks like I will need to give this book another try. I believe we had just read Orphan Train, which everyone loved. After exceptionally good books like Orphan Train and Nightingale, it’s hard to choose another book which will make the same impact.

One of my favorite books. It dwells on Mrs. Lincoln’s quirky behaviors but does so in a respectful, unique tone

I thought it was ok, but was disappointed because her quilting series of novels are really good storytelling. (It’s been awhile so I can’t remember the name of the series.)

Yes, I read it a while back. I enjoy just about anything written about Abe and Mary Todd Lincoln, and I liked this book as well. It gives another insight into their lives, especially Mary Todd’s.

If you enjoy this, read Varina by Charles Frazier. Varina is Jefferson Davis’ long-suffering wife
