Read that when I was in high school 30 plus years ago. It’s disturbing, I read most of her books BECAUSE they were sick & twisted. Yes, I was sick & twisted as a teen too… LOL…

Her books are very dark and if you have a deliicate soul, it’s risky. I read Flowers, then the sequals -Petals in the wind and If there be thorns, but yes, strong stuff.

Loved her books as a teen… I still have every single book, couldn’t get enough! They are all very twisted. As I got to the newer ones, written after she passed, I lost interest. Not sure if it was because I was outgrowing them or because the writing wasn’t as intriguing to me. When I see them, I am still compelled to buy them, or look for the very few I’m missing from her originals. It’s definitely worth the read!!!

Her name could’ve been Virginia but on her books she is known as V.C. Andrews. I read that book (and maybe others in that same series) many, many years ago. Very strange story.

EDIT: I guess I haven’t seen the later editions of these books. I stand corrected, apparently she is known as Virginia Andrews. In the past though, she was known as V.C. Andrews.

Alisa Webb This latest variation of the author’s name was news to me so I’m glad someone posted a picture of the book series that plainly showed the author’s name so that I could correct my response. I hate sounding ignorant.

Read it a long time ago. Met VC Andrews at a Chicago book signing about 1978 or ’79. She was so gracious though she’doesn’t had tiring day. Now ‘her’ books are farmed out for other writers to ghostwrite.
