Sometimes the older ways were the better ways. Kudos to your teacher ???

1
Kelly

@Michael
I still do it that way. Lol. Book first, then movie. ???

0
Kimberly

I do that with my Middle Schoolers. We just did this with FFA a few weeks ago.

1
Kelly

@Kimberly
It works well. Now, this was my sophomore literature class, not middle school, but it should still work. I remember middle school literature class doing something similar when we first read the outsiders, then watch the movie.
In my high school class, we would read the book, then we would watch the movie and our teacher would point out a lot of the differences between the movie and the book, then we would have our test or final on the subject. That way people who didn’t get the understanding or comprehension from the book, got it from the movie as well. A lot of lightbulbs were turned on for the visual learners after we watched the movie and debated points between the movie and the book. It was one of my all-time favorite classes, and she was one of my favorite teachers.???

Michael

@Kelly that is a well laid-out concise program.???
