Mao’s last dancer is great! Quite an emotional journey though

I enjoyed the Joy Luck Club as well as other Amy Tan books – The Kitchen God’s Wife, The Bonesetters Daughter… she is a wonderful writer.
I didnt know she had written more than one book when I have finished the joy luck club I will check them out Thankyou

I loved almost all of Amy Tans books, except Saving Fish from Drowning. She’s amazing.

I remember that we have to read The Joy Luck Club in high school. I hated it. Not the book but the task. Reread it again after almost a decade. Bawled like a baby. So sad tho that I didn’t enjoy it the first time around. I would’ve aced that subject. To my high school English teacher: I’m sorry. I now love the books you required us to read.
Mao’d last dancer is an awesome book
I read The Joy Luck Club when I was a teenager. I think it was the first novel that I truly connected to so much so that it made me actually cry. Definitely read it.
