Read it a couple of times. Watched the movie as a kid and was disappointed when I found out as a teenager that it was a political story.

Story about when it was first published… Bookstores placed it in the Children’s Department. Or, so goes the story…

Read it high school. As an animal lover I loved it as a book but hated it as a political book. Could have done without ?

It was one of my assigned books at school about 50 years ago and all I can remember is that that it is about communism.

Liked it over 30 years ago. Had read 1984 first, then Orwell’s other books. Read it again last year when my daughter studied it at school. Definitely worth reading.

Read it at school. Enjoyed the book and the process of analysis. May not have enjoyed it quite so much without that process.
