I listened to it years ago and it is my favorite Stephen King book. I still think about the characters at times and wonder about alternative endings. I enjoyed it.
I’ve been hoping to run across the book, in a thrift store. Sounds so good. Have read several JFK books. Mrs. Kennedy and Me, by Clint Hill is excellent.
Not a bad book, even though it reminded me of the Lee Harvey Oswald episode of Quantum Leap. I always wondered if it wasn’t by King would it be as highly rated?
@Cathy …you know how President John F. Kennedy died in Texas on 11/22/63? King tells how his main character tried to go back in time to change the sequence of events on that day so that Kennedy does not die. Very interesting concept of the effects of changing the past….a very good read!
@Cathy this was my review from a few moths ago… 11.22.63 by Stephen King. I see a few people are reading this or considering starting it. I thought I would share my review. A big lump of a book at just over 700 pages in this version it took me couple of weeks but this was wonderful. Although it’s Stephen King it is not a horror. And a book about time travel with the aim of preventing JFK’s assassination would not be my usual choice, but it was such a wonderful story and he really is a great writer. Twists aplenty, and there is a great love story in there too. 10/10!
I started watching the series and whel Al told Jake i want you to go back and save Kennedy , without the wonderful dialogue of introduction that is in the novel , i stoppex watching. The dialogue is so weak in the serie
Loved the book, only watched the first two episodes of the mini-series but the extreme differences from the book bothered me too much to want to continue watching it.
I watched it and wow! It was so good!
Am reading it now..
I read it – it’s long, but once it gets going it’s really good.
Read it. Great book! Haven’t watched it yet I heard it’s good but doesn’t exactly follow the book
No almost bought it today.
Read and watched it. Both are excellent! Don’t expect everything to be the same in the show though. There’s changes but it’s still great!
Loved it!
