I read the whole thing, but I was still confused by the end. I didn’t think it was worth it to push through to the end, tbh.

Neil Gaiman’s books are always a slow burn. With this book i had to make it a little past halfway before things started to click & interest me

It can be a little hazy at first, I did find it useful to keep a running list of who is who.

I liked some parts but it felt tedious to get through.

It is both intriguing and confusing. ? The show is good, puts a face to the characters.

I listend to it on Audiobook and OMG it was so amazing. I kept thinking “WTF” until I was a little past halfway through then BOOM. It was awesome. Best audiobook I’ve ever listened to (it was the full cast version and honestly it was so amazing)

I love Neil Gaiman’s unique imagination. Some of his writing I have to push through but I love the magical realism in his stories. He’s one of my favorite authors. American Gods & Anansi Boys were most difficult for me out of all of his books I’ve read. End game, the story is worth it though.

Stick with it. It’ll be worth it in the end. Neil Gaiman is a wonderful author. I’m reading Norse Mythology by him right now.

I’ve reread it at least three times, but I’m listening to it with my Mom right now. And I still just noticed a bit of foreshadowing I missed on my three previous rereads. There is a lot going on and most of it will be resolved pretty well at the end, but going back through there are all sorts of fun bits to notice.

My fave book of his (good omens is a close second). There is a TV series of American gods as well, which isn’t what I expected, but still good!
