but buy it with book 2 because that’s where it gets AMAZING

and since book 2 is incredible I advise buying book 3 as well so you can just go right into it

What genres do you like best and also your favorite books

0
CameronQuestion author

I like all genres mostly. My favorite books are TFIOS, All Ellen Hopkins, and Beautiful Creatures were my favorites!

0
Dylan

Hmm… I’ve only read TFIOS. I have a few Ellen Hopkins books in my collection but haven’t read anything by her yet. Would you say you like romance/witchy type books?

1
CameronQuestion author

LOVE those type of books!

0
Dylan

Hmm.

Well Nicholas Sparks is popular for a reason. His books are a bit of a slow burn but they aren’t bad, just not my cup of tea (I rarely read just flat out romance)

I highly recommend The Sun Is Also A Star. It was incredible and I ate it up in a few days.

I honestly never read witch books but I’m pretty sure I have the “A Discovery of Witches” trilogy somewhere and I’ve heard amazing things about that

Alexis

It’s such a good series!! I’ll second the warning to get the 2nd one right off… The first book is good, but book two and three are the BEST!!!!!

Nah. Too much hype, and not really good honestly.

Dylan

Most of the hype comes from book 2. I felt the same until I picked up ACOMAF.

0
Michelle

? with all the hype I am not going to read it. I’ve been reading TOG and been slowly hating it.

0
Michelle

I am guessing her ACOTAR series is full of possessive men and strong female leads who don’t need no man but can’t be single too and other stuff like that

Dylan

SPOILERS FOR ACOTAR/TOG TRILOGY PUT BETWEEN PARENTHESES

Yes, which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

((Honestly Rhys isn’t that bad. I find him much more tolerable than tamlin who’s very controlling and toxic. I say keep reading on))

The same thing happened to me while reading TOG as with what happened with ACOTAR. The first book didn’t live up to the hype for me. But continuing on was the best thing to do, they get so much better. I adore both series.

Yes, she adds quite a lot of toxic masculinity but I kind of dig it. As a gay man it’s my thing, but I get why some girls wouldn’t be into it. To each their own!

ACOTAR on its own would be 50-50 on the “worth buying” spectrum, but as it’s part of a trilogy and ACOMAF (the sequel) is kind of awesome, I’m going to go with YES.

IT IS! The first one was very good for me (even if I was a bit confused ?) but the second one was fantastic! It made me rethink all the opinions I had on the first book. I kind of dont like the third book tho, I think it could be better than that but still I finished that in a day bc I love that series so much!
