My husband is a huge LOTR fan and really wants me to read the book. I’ve tried but it’s really dry at the beginning and loses my interest. Maybe I’ll have to try the audio book? ?
Maybe. I find the movies tedious and the books even worse. I read the trilogy just to say I have but only enjoyed the third one.
@Amanda it’s pretty dry to be honest. It has some really interesting stuff in books 2 and 3 that I think are more enjoyable, but LOTR is basically a history book.
Any other suggestions for a fun audio series? My husband and I have been listening to all the Harry Potter’s together and we’re on 6 now and I don’t know what to start after.
Not yet but I started the hobbit but I just can’t stand the guy who narrates it because he sings the songs and it’s awful. Lol. I tried fast forwarding then
