Not horse related I know, but I was about 13 when I read the diary of Anne Frank and really enjoyed it … just an idea 🙂 x
War horse is a children’s book
Out of curiosity I googled animals books for preteens/teens… Huge selections… Might be worth a try – I’d copy the links for you but as you know her you’d know more about what she’d be drawn to. Good luck. Xx
