That strategy is a bit difficult when your tbr list is a mile long lol. “The one you haven’t read yet” becomes pretty nonspecific at that point lol.

Just finished Orphan Train and loved it. I didn’t want it to end and when I closed the book I felt kinda empty and can’t seem to find a book that would capture my undivided attention like Orphan Train did…

I’ll normally read a chapter and if it holds my interest then that’s the book I’ll go with if not I choose another.

My issue at times is I will have a book I put on hold at the library but don’t feel like reading that one…..so I decided…..nope I read for the moment……I will let it go back if need be and request it again.

Oh yes, so I grab a book I want to read and then I want to read another one, so that is usually the one I go for.

No I have probably 200 or more TBR books of all different kinds I just have to decide what I’m in the mood for: fantasy or espionage, or something else.

Having problems reading recently and it’s a little sad. Bit stressed out and can’t focus enough to read. I have to repeat some lines over and over sometimes, so yeah.. I have a lot on my tbr, the easiest way not to overthink picking the next book is listing the titles you’re interested in on a random picker app.

That’s a great idea! I’m definitely going to try doing that. But my TBR list is so long, I wouldn’t know where to start. Perhaps, I’ll have trouble deciding which ones to put in the random picker app.

Jillian

Haha yeah same problem x3 Since I mostly get to read ebooks, I just separate the books by genre so maybe you can do distinctions like that for whatever you feel like reading atm. Should at least make the list a bit shorter.

0
Chandni

Haha.. yeah, i’ll try doing that next time, which is not too far-I have only about 40 pages left of the book I am currently reading.
What app do you use btw?

0
Jillian

Not sure if that’s the best app for it but that’s what I use 🙂
