I’m about to start Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and I’m already devastated! This book series is going to get me so depressed but I love it. Haha.

Last year, after finishing A Little Life, by Hanya Yanagihara! Took a while to want to read anything again, and then it was only non-fiction. I couldn’t manage any more fiction for the rest of 2016!

That’s the way I always am. But, I finished Dragonsworn last weekend and haven’t been able to pickup another book. Not that I haven’t tried. Thinking of just going to the library tomorrow see if anything can peek my interest.

I try to pick one up right away, before book hangover sets in.

Happens to me every now and then but it is because my thoughts are still stuck with the last book. Sometimes I just pick up books and read whatever random page it opens too:) I am weird.

@Katy I think I would leave that note someone posted about meeting up because of your choice of literature in the hopes that someone like you picks it up:)

Actually happened to me this week. I finished Pattern Recognition and I was so drained and sad. It was a great rollercoaster ride and took me two days to be able to start a new one.

I just finished Dragonsworn last weekend and haven’t been able to pick anything else up. But, I had gone back to work (school bus driver) this week as well. Plus, I maybe stalled because my author (Sherrilyn Kenyon) has the next book coming out very soon.

Sometimes I just re-read the book, then I can MoveOn

I finished Draginsworn by Sherrilyn Kenyon last week. I have not been able to pick up another book. I don’t know if it’s the fact that I just started back to work or because I am anxiously awaiting the next book of hers to come out. Because she actually posted on her fb page that you have to finish Dragonsworn before you read Battle Born. You don’t have to read her books in order, until now.

I’m like that at the moment. I’ve not read properly since finishing The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy, a few weeks ago. Thing is I think I’m waiting for the new Dan Brown book, Origin to be released. But I’ve got just less than a month to wait and I think I don’t want to get into anything until then. Having said that I’m trying to read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

I think that’s my problem as well. Waiting for the next Sherrilyn Kenyon book, Battle Born. It’s the book to follow Dragonsworn that I just finished. Lol

Not really. I tend to finish a book and then start another one straight away. Even if it’s a completely different genre and type of book

1

I call it ‘book hangover’ – like my brain has to grieve over what I just finished. Even a happy ending, sometimes I just need the time to process it all before I move on.

Never try to read a Stephanie Meyers book directly after reading a Stephen King book, it doesn’t work.

I like both because I will read just about anything, but I can’t read so so directly after reading excellent. I’ll wait a bit.
