@Hailee idk if you live with your parents/mom, but if you do she wants all the available space for her books…

But bookworms should stick together and they should hoard books together

I say to them- Some women are vain so they need to collect things like makeup, shoes, purses, and clothes to enhance their looks, I collect books to enhance my mind because imagination is more attractive than filtered beauty. ??????

4

HaileeQuestion author

@Brandy i think this is something everyone needs to hear this most women not all are worrying about there outward appearance and less about expanding there mind through reading and its sad

“I hesitate to articulate for fear that I may deviate from the point upon which I intend to portray. ” Then when they keep asking me what that means I just say “I don’t know”. (It’s just a fancy way of saying I don’t know and it confuses them and then they leave me alone)

I say that books in a home are clues as to a who a person really is. Shelves of biz management- either driven to do better or searching for answers.
Shelves of historical bodice ripper romances- unrealistic expectations of relationships
Shelves of unsolved crime- maybe don’t sleep over when they are angry.
So if books give clues as to who we are, what does it say about you that your shelves are empty??

@Christine hahaha great comment i need to tell my mother this because shw has s problem qith my books and always tells me to spend my money on something useful but what she doesnt know is that books are useful if i have a burglar in my house i can try and atrack him with books if i have a wobbly table i can use a book to level it out if i need to i mean endless possibilities lmao but id hate to abuse my books in that way so theres that too

I’m a hoarder anyway, not extream (maybe even calling myself a collector would be more accurate), but I like to think of myself as a Book Dragon with my hoard of books and bookish items… and comics/comic items.. and Pez dispensers.. and empty book subscription boxes, and packing worms (you never know when a present needs just a little extra packing) and lace… They’re my hoard.. I own the title proud and tell people in bookstores about my book hoard (I even show them pictures) 🙂 No one has ever called me a book hoarder though, admittedly I do get rid of a lot of books (which is not a typical hoarder action), but that’s usually because I need money for more new books that I might like better than the ones I’m getting rid off…. But yeah, if anyone said anything I’d be proud to call myself that. Now if someone called me a gross hoarder and thought I was collecting my faeces in bottles or something, then I’d have an issue… (I think my ADHD led me off track at some point…)

But i just couldnt afford it at the time. Then i find out behind my back she said its better that she couldnt come or something like that because all i would do is buy books as if thats a crime or a sin
