I personally found it a bit of a let down. It was my first attempt at the genre and I couldn’t really get into it

I think it was during the second/third book that it started to fall off

I’m in my early 50’s, so that makes me feel better. I have no problem with YA ? as long as there is a solid plot and great character development.

They are the best series to get lost in. You’ll be thrilled you went with it after you finish the third book. Potter and Twilight are my favorite fantasy series.

I’m 81, and I started the books back when the first one was published in the states. By the time the seventh book was due to come out I was stomping at the bit to get my copy. It came on the day it was released, from Amazon, in a box that was marked “Muggles deliver on…and the date.” I actually cried when it was finished. No more Hogwarts to come. I’d already reread the books several times, so I added the 7th book to my reread list. All in all I have read all the books about ten times. I never get tired of them. I usually return to Hogwarts in the summer. lol
