Yes. It’s excellent. Of course, given the subject matter, there are some disturbing parts.

Great! And after you have read it, then research about the women. Don’t do it before, but afterward you will see photos of the girls and the real history. The book is pretty factual, but the real story is fascinating.

I liked it better than The Nightingale–my book club has read both–not my type of book–I like mystery and this was history. So sad to know it was based on truth.

I didn’t realize until I had started reading The Lilac Girls that the story was based in fact, which made the story even more horrifying. I’m glad I read it.
