I know most of the Anita Blake series probably be at the thrift store. Usually I just look thru the books and look them up on goodreads to see reviews.

So historical fiction. Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah is an older book. It’s partially set in Russia during the time of Stalin. I really enjoyed that one. Also, see this list. https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/229.World_War_II_Fiction
