I think you should judge for yourself. I have passed on books before bc of bad reviews and regretted it because later on I’d read it and realize I love it. Just my thoughts, not everyone has the same taste in books
This is one of the rare occasions where I will say that the film was better than the book which was verrrry slow in the beginning and not particularly well written.
Really liked first half, but all went downhill and hated the ending, it made me really cross and I was completely disappointed with it. Can’t stand to even look at it now!
