Brilliant book and the fact it is based on a true story makes it even more incredible.(make sure you read the section at the end ) I read an article about the author and how he came upon the story and about the visits he made to the main character and how it impacted on his life.Truly amazing story
Brilliant! and a new perspective on WWII from Italy. Best part is that it comes from interviews with the real protagonist who died just a few years ago.
