The Name of the Wind, first in the Kingkiller chronicles! It is so well written!! Otherwise I love the Black Jewel Trilogy by Anne Bishop, which is a fantasy romance series.
If you like fantasy romance, then I’d suggest the Tarien Soul series by CL Wilson (Winter King is also great). They’re similar and most would agree that they’re better written than the ACOTAR series, even though they’re in the adult romance section (and honestly, idk why ACOTAR isn’t).
I’m just going to throw out a shameless plug right here and recommend my own book, Caladrius Dreams. ? But really, my all time favorite fantasy series is the Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan.
Someone asked me this yesterday and I had a total brain meltdown…I couldn’t think of one because I’ve been stuck in contemporary novels as of late…I had to go look at my books and see the ones I love. Lol

Everything by Rick Riordan is a winner with me

The Ruby Red series by Kerstin Gier is amazing

@Amanda thanks Amanda!! The only fantasy books I’ve read are wrath and dawn & the sequel and strange the dreamer. Those were amazingggg so I figured I’ll try more of that genre
@Aleksandra Strange the Dreamer has been my most favorite fantasy novel that I’ve read recently…I’ve seriously read it like 3 times and the listened to it on audible 2…lol

@Amanda ugh I only read strange the dreamer once but I CANNOT wait to reread it soon. I’m trying to hold myself over until October when the sequel comes out but I feel like I will re read it 3 more times before then…. it’s my favorite as well ❤️
@Amanda Have you read The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss? I don’t remember if I have asked you this before. It is adult fantasy, but if you loved Strange the Dreamer you would absolutely LOVE his writing style!
