I have an older Kindle and have only recently experienced problems with it. I think I’ve had it about five years or so, and when I upgrade, it will be another Kindle, just haven’t decided which one yet.

If you have the money to spend, I absolutely recommend an iPad. You can read on any app (iBooks, kindle, kobo, nook, etc) plus all of the tablet capabilities. Get it mini & refurbished for the Best Buy if you’re mainly/only going to read on it. It will last you forever if you take care of it.

I like my Kobo, actually. Only big problem is that when they push out updates it has to connect to my laptop.

First I used Kobo, I broke that reader and for some weird reason started using Google books on my phone. I was then gifted a Kindle ? and I loved it to death, but I hated not being able to read the books I’d bought on the other apps. So I ended up buying myself an iPad. It’s bulkier but I love having access to all of my books

just download the kindle, kobo, and overdrive (or whatever your local library uses to borrow books) apps onto a regular tablet. Don’t waste your time or money on a separate ereading device if you can have something that has more functions and works faster.

Kindle. It’s the tiny one and you can’t do anything but read books on it. I don’t like reading on a backlit screen.
