The copy of this book has been on my shelf for at least 15 years somehow I have had a want to/ don’t want to read relationship with this book. Finding I am enjoying it, and am picking up on the story under the story, more than I would have if I read it when I was younger.

1

I read it about 15 years ago, then lent it out to a friend who of course never gave it back. Perhaps next time I am at the second-hand bookstore, I will grab a copy.

A Winter’s Tale was such a beautiful book. A very good friend of mine suggested it to me for discussion since he thought I was one of a few he knew who would appreciate it. I remember finishing it with tears streaming down my face. When my husband asked me if the ending was sad, all I could say was no, it’s because it was such a beautiful ending.
