@Siobhán I got stuck on the first few chapters of the first one and it just was not my cup of tea. And the TV series for me I got into a half hour and off it went lol. Different strokes for different folks

Haha! I know! Yup! I have read a knight for the seven kingdoms, loved it, I have a beautiful illustrated edition. I recently read the history of the Targayrens. I found it good, but much too like a history book than a novel
