Right?! Me too. It’s why I waited so long for it.

Yea I wrote that I was disappointed in a book because it had SUCH a long wait everywhere (from others posting weeks waits too) and put a thumbsdown and that’s what happened in return.

@Lacey Lacey was it a book club read? We really want to save options of a book club read for the discussions. We don’t want to discourage other people from reading it.

Yes it was a pick for that month that everyone was talking about how hard it was to get. And I mentioned in my original post I had expected it to be really good because of the long wait everyone had at their libraries and it was a disappointment

@Lacey I get your frustration but we want people to save their comments for the discussion. You could discourage people

Reading it. And your comment could encourage further discussion, which could lead to spoilers. We want people to participate in the discussion.

I think the problem is just that if you write bad things about our book of the month then nobody would want to read it. It’s not a big deal if you want to write something bad about a random book, just not our book of the month until we do our discussion at the end of the month, then you can write whatever you want about it, lol.

@Nellie exactly Nellie. Thanks for understanding. We are a very relaxed club. We have very few rules. I don’t think waiting to discuss a our monthly book is asking to much.

I’m sorry that you felt like we shame tagged you. The rules were a new thing at the time and we were tagging people in the rules to bring attention to them. In case they were overlooked.

Right now we are working on boosting participation in discussions so we ask that there are no negative opinions about the books chosen for the month.
