It really isn’t. Maybe the when I reread it, I’ll think differently. Oh wait, that won’t happen until the 3rd book comes out.. guess I’m not rereading it 🙂

But really, the book was okay.

It is what I love about books…they are subjective…I hate a lot of fantasy books that others love…You can’t say for certain a book is good or bad…it is up to the reader.

You’ll regret the empty, unfulfilled bottomless pit of despair when you realize book 3 is never going to be released

It was ok. It wasn’t my thing I guess. I don’t understand why people love it so much. I love the Wheel of Time, Drizzt, Sanderson stuff. Just couldn’t get into this book though.

Name of the wind was class. Wise man’s fear was good, but a couple of hundred pages too long. Also, wise man’s fear has characters that start to tell stories but never actually finish them. On one instance, the story/monologue is a chapter long with no fucking ending to it. A bit like the series really.

really? i thought wise mans fear was short of anything. like the whole ship journey was condensed to like a page when it could have been a hundred pages

@John that is true. I’m not saying I didn’t enjoy it, bit it was drawn out. Many times there was no need to flick back to the conversations in the pub, didn’t always add to the story. And like I said, there were many, many instances where a character would tell a story, but you’d never get an ending. That is pointless

You were probably wise to wait, since the third book has been delayed forever and shows no signs of being released any time soon.

Although, personally, that doesn’t really bother me.

Because it will never have an ending? I’ve come to finally accept this sad truth…
