@Pip I’m so exited what will happen in the spinoffs (specially the Elite Guard books). Armentrout is writing like a berserker but I think she had or has a pretty rough time with an ill family member and the releases are a bit slowed down right now. Do you know any concret dates for the spinoffs?

0
Lena

@Nadja oh thanks. I saw it.

1
Marie

Jeannine Frost has a vampire series that is awesome and very steamy. Dannika Dark is not filthy, I guess, but she knows how to do TENSION and she tells great storeis. She still has sexy scenes too. Jennifer Armentrout is another like Dannika. She has great sex scenes but she has the art of tension-building down. I also like Kresley Cole and Sherillyn Kenyon. You wanna do some fun steamy steampunk romance Gail Carriger is great and Meljean Brook might be my favorite. I mean she is must read. YUM. Good stuff there.

0

Marie

Oh and someone mentioned Karen Marie Moning The Fever Series. YOu have to stick with it to get past the whiny MC (she changes) and she introduces a character named Dani who becomes one of my very favorite characters in any book. Moning does great job because Dani is a teen when they meet. Steamy Stuff!

Is the Raven Cycle a good book series in the filthy department? Does anyone know them?

1
Reply
Kanishka

Ahh it’s like the purest book I’ve read lol. It’s more focused on friendships. So like nothing more than a few kissing scenes.

2
Nadja

Damn.. I heard so many good things about the books.. that’s a bummer (but I’m gonna read it anyway..I guess?)

0
Kanishka

Well the book series is really amazing. So yeah definitely read it!

1
Ellie

I guess the bewitched and bewildered series because it’s not filthy and also even though from books 1 – 10 (still counting) has sex scenes in them, you’ll be dying of an epic fit of the giggles and you’ll be laughing so hard youll start to cry.

My mum read the series and then she recommended them to me, I was still on book one at the kitchen scene but then I read the whole book and was laughing.

If or when you’ve read it let me know who your favourite character is, mine and my mums is called Meryn.

For the YA category deff the ACOTAR series ?

2
Reply
Nadja

That’s true.. most of the other books are NA category

0
Mahnoor

ACOTAR is NA from from the start. ToG, the author’s other series, starts off as YA.

0
Anna

The ACOTAR series is in the YA section at every library I have been to so as far as I’m concerned it’s YA lol

0
Mahnoor

@Anna
Lol just pray no 13 year old picks it up! ?

1
Anna

I’m with you there! But usually the librarians check with the parents of younger kids

1
Mahnoor

@Anna
Yeah. In this case, Libraries are so much better than bookstores. I’ve seen ACOTAR and ToG both shelved in YA or even Children’s sections and gasp every time. Like wow.

1
Anna

Well if they don’t read it how would they know lol it doesn’t say on the outside

1
Mahnoor

@Anna
It actually does. At least, on all the copies i have, on the back of the jacket, underneath the synopsis it says ‘not suitable for younger readers’. Still shelved in YA and Children’s. Smh.

0
Anna

Oh where are you from?

0
Mahnoor

I’m from Pakistan but i live in the Middle East. I mostly get the UK editions, since closer. And tbh, since ‘adult’ books are such a big taboo here, i mostly think people here dont expect books like that to exist. I’m lucky my parents never censored anything i ever read, just kept watch until i was old enough to decide for myself.

0
Mahnoor

@Anna
First off, I love New York City! And makes sense. I havent seen the US editions.

1
Anna

Oh that might be why then lol im in New york and the books dont say anything lol

1
Jelaina

Ohhhh. Her first in the series is on my TBR pile. Guess I’m in for a wild ride!

1
Kanishka

Yesssssss go for it!!

1
Jelaina

Not YA, but the Riley Jensen Guardian Novels by Keri Arthur are deliciously dirty. In her series, werewolves must go at it before the full moon or else suffer “blood lust” causing them to go berserk and rip and tear and rend anything they meet to pieces. There are clubs that cater only to werewolves, some that cater to humans and weres, but a good deal of the time, humans can’t withstand a were mating with them. Add some other shifters such as Kade, a stallion shifter who’s hung like a… Well, a horse, and you get a whole lot of action. Not to mention she fights bad guys in six inch heels and you’ve got a hell of a series! (Her first is Full Moon Rising)
