“It” “It” is one of those few novels that makes you scared inside your own house on a summer afternoon. I can’t even watch the trailer for the new movie coming out. I also liked Salem’s Lot, most of his early short stories sets and the book he wrote about being a writer.
Tie among Carrie (his first and first I read) and The Shining (scary beyond all get out) and The Stand (beautifully epic) and 11/22/63 (just great historic info woven in).
@Jessica I’ve been reading a bit differently this year- three thrillers; three memoirs; three short story collections. You get the idea. Saving the horror for October. It just seems right. ?
Just wanted to thank everyone for your input and making this thread so fun! Made a couple of friends from it and got to talk about some awesome novels!!

The Regulators was Bachman and Desperation was King. They were written from different points of view as companion books. They are both really good.
I am going to have to look for that thanks!
