Those Who Save Us, but there’s also The Secret Holocaust Diaries: The Untold Story of Nonna Bannister, The Nazi Officer’s Wife, Maus (graphic novel). The last three are not fictional, but are amazing nonetheless

Jennifer McCashland here in Florida we read a play version of Anne Frank’s diary, then I use this to give them a view from the German side. It’s a real eye opener for them.

Yes! I have them both! Read them a few years before the mini-series as teenager. I love Herman Wouk! His books are incredible! He wrote a series on the founding of Israel called “The Hope” and “The Glory”!

I just read The Butterfly and the Violin by Kristy Cambron. It’s a “lighter” version of the Holocaust because it interweaves two stories, one in the present time. I thought it was very good.

The Lost Letter by @Jillian is my absolute favorite. The Nightingale is great, The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult is an interesting perspective. I’m reading The Tattooist of Auschwitz now by Heather Morris and I think it will be on this list when I’m done.

It’s not fiction, but Alicia: My Story by Alicia Appleman Jurman is incredible. Also try Finding Zasha. It’s juvenile fiction, but I couldn’t put it down.
