Never – I always prefer the book – even when I love the movie

The movie came first, in this case.

Interesting! I didn’t know that. I wonder if that’s why I had so much trouble connecting to the book.

Yup movie was launched at Toronto international film festival 2 years ago

I’d read the book first. I’ve never came across a movie that’s better than the book it was based off of.

i love reading the book
First and in most cases the book is always better than the movie but not all the time in my opinion. Christmas with the kranks and the notebook are two that come to mind where I can honestly say they did better in the movie than the book in my opinion

The notebook is so much better as a movie

I usually try to always read the book first. But every once I a awhile the story just doesn’t grab me but I still want to watch the movie.

What did you think? My husband and I watched it, got to the end, and said, “well that was a waste of 2 hours of our lives.” But then it won Best Picture and we thought maybe we were the minority.
