Who?
Chapbooks? As in the little informational booklets handed out? Think pamphlett/ brochure but containing news from the church or royalty, etc. Popular when then printing press first became a thing.
Are they the opposite of chick lit? ???
Something religious i think
@Janis ???
I thought everyone would know what I mean. They are books made up of installments.
A few famous authors did some. I’ve just started “The Green Mile” by Stephen king. Installment version.
I only know of them from historical crime fiction stories… Where they refer to buying Chapbooks of the latest views from the church, etc. ?
I guess these days it means chapter books?
Love The Green Mile, never heard of chapbooks!
Are they called serials as opposed to series?
This is it.
Chapbooks or cheap books were simple folds of paper stitched into leather covers and made in the Late geargian and Victorian times. Some are sold today at Covent garden but are very expensive. You could drop on some cheaper versions at local craft fairs. Hope this helps.
