I’m trying to get into Goodreads, but it feels a bit clunky. I’ve just started a notebook where I plan to record the title, author, ISBN, the date finished reading, and briefly what I thought about it.
I have a notebook. Also my sister @Eilidh and I keep a running list via WhatsApp, we are doing a reading challenge ( I’m winning ? ) My notebook needs updated though ?
I only note the year, month, author and title. I started doing this in 1980 and, although, I could rarely give a c9mprehensive commentary about books from back then, when I look at a title I have an emotional sense of the book and very often a recollection of the place I was when I read it.
I started keeping a written record. Can’t read my own writing. Husband bought me a little laptop, it wouldn’t take windows 10. I’m back to trying to remember them; I think of it as memory training.
With good reads can you get a summary of what you’ve read? Like if I put in all the books individually for it to show how many books in total or pages in total this year etc?.
I use a notebook. Great fun buying a nice new one and using lovely pens. I leave one page for each book. I used to use a book journal but prefer a bit more freedom. I keep them by the bed and they’re handy when I can’t remember if I have read something so I just flick back through #gettingold ?
I use Goodreads to keep track of books that I have read/ want to read but I’ve got a long list of books to read in 2019 stored in a list on my tablet using the notepad app. I’ve just started using the To Read – Reading List app I downloaded from the Google Play Store as well and I’m really impressed with it. You can mark books as finished on it apparently. I do have a small hard-backed notebook filled with titles that I want from the library but it needs updating. I carry that in my handbag.

I had bever recorded my books until I found Goodreads. I like it now but loving that people keep notebooks! I wish I had done that now ?
I love goodreads, and the fact it gives you recommendations based on your READ list xx

I record books I’ve read from certain authors I really like and who have a series of books to read. I use my iPad notebook.
My tablet and Amazon let me know what books I have.

In Goodreads, I create a shelf for each year so I can keep record of what I’ve read, i.e. as soon as I finish a book I shelve it as “read in 2018”. ?
